About the Course:

This is a two-day surf instructor training course for Tribal Members of the Olympic Peninsula, hosted in Neah Bay, WA by 20-year professional surf coach, Kelly Potts. In this course, we'll cover the basics of:

• Wave ecology

• Recognize safe vs. dangerous surfing conditions

• How to get a student into waves successfully

• The mechanics of the pop-up

• And practice our own paddling and surfing skills

Requirements:

• Must be 13 years of age or older

• Attend both days of training

• Know how to swim

• Must be a Tribal Member from the Olympic Peninsula

Where to meet and when:

Hobuck Beach Camgrounds by the Warm Current Surf Shack

July 22nd and 23rd

Check-in starts at 8:30 AM both days

Clinic time runs 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM both days
