Del Norte Surfers Clinic -
Provided by Tolowa Dee-niʻ Nation’s ACE Program
This 4-hour lesson will be instructed by 20-year professional surfer and surf coach, Kelly Potts, who will be offering basic surfing techniques for first-timers and beginners, as well as intermediate to advanced surfing techniques for those ready to take their surfing to the next level. In this clinic, she will teach ocean awareness by learning how to identify safe vs. dangerous surfing conditions and potential risks and will focus on independent surfing skills, paddling technique, and wave reading and timing.
Where: South Beach, Crescent City, CA - check in at the allarewe.org event tent and trailer.
When: August 17, 18, 19 & August 23, 24, 25. (Only one clinic day per participant)
Check-in starts at 9:00 AM and the clinic finishes at 1:00 PM each day.
Ages 8 & up are welcome! All participants must be enrolled in the TDN ACE Program. If you or your child are not already enrolled in the ACE Program, click here to apply!
